It all started with apples...
PieQuality pies were created with the need to save time, without sacrificing flavor.
With dedication to fresh ingredients and the passion for that "from scratch" taste,
PieQuality started with their WillYum Tell Apple Pies.
The recipe came to life when owner, Lyndi, wanted to make a holiday dinner dessert,
but knew she wouldn't have time the day before.
Not wanting to settle for store-bought or preservatives, she set out to create the perfect balance of ingredients that would freeze well, be ready to bake straight from the freezer and be fresh from the oven within an hour.
The irony of PieQuality is that Lyndi didn't even like pie, so she decided to make one that she did like.
Lyndi dove into the science of pie crust, filling types, sugars and spices.
Reaching back to childhood roots selling apples roadside from her grandparents’ orchards in rural Santa Rosa, CA, she started with apple pie. Family members raved about this new pie, and encouragements of sharing the pies with the world began to surface. Soon friends and family, and friends of friends and family were
requesting pies to have in their own freezers.
Pie lovers and non-pie lovers both have gobbled up these little treats and wanted more!
After two years and batch after batch produced in her little galley kitchen, Lyndi decided to spread her culinary wings in a commercial kitchen, and make her pies available to everyone!
The next flavors for PieQuality are already being researched, so tell everyone and share the love! We hope to see these pies enjoyed across the USA from gifts to just self-indulgence...
